Exhibition: Global Table Project
Friday 20 April 2007 is the opening of an exhibition displaying results from the Global Table Project at The West Norway Museum of Decorative Art's (Permanenten, Vestlandske kunstindustrimuseum). The exhibition is a result of a cooperation with the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in China. On the opening weekend there will also be a performance by BA student Ingrid Skarprud.
Global Table Project
A group from KHiB have travelled to Jingdezhen in China to visit and do workshops at the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute. Students and staff are now establishing a cross-cultural project with the Institute in the hearth of the porcelain region.

Impressions from China, the Global Table project
A number of KHiB students and two members of the academic staff, Charles Michalsen and Marek Cecula, are currently on a field trip in the heart of global ceramic production, Jingdezhen - China. It is part of the Global Table project initiated by the Dept of Specialised Art at KHIB. The group is special guests at the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, an institution of such scale that it admits no less than 4500 new students - each year!
Global Table – workshop in China
A group from KHiB is travelling to Jingdezhen in China for a visit and workshop at the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute. Students and staff are invited to this four-week cross – cultural project in the hearth of the porcelain region. Departure is September 22.
