Architectural Ceramics
Multi departmental design project, which will evolve around modular element or system for architecture. This will be an exploration and production of ceramic brick forms, which can function as multiphase product for architects and bricklayers.
The aim is to develop optimal conditions where the form (a brick) could be used in many architectural applications (exterior & interior) offering diverse options of color and surface composition with a repetitive pattern.
Workform:
Preproduction phase research, development and design will be in the Academy; the experimentation and production of the project will be done in the brick factory.
Students will work for 3 weeks in the factory studio creating their project, results of the project will be presented in Bergen as an exhibition and meeting with architects.

The course starts 18/01/2010 / Week 03, and ends 13/02/2010 / Week 06
