Drawing
In this course we will explore the possibilities of drawing. Process oriented exercises and individual work. Focus on observation and different strategies on how to depict what we see and what kind of expressions we get.
We will look at traditional artistic effects and means, e.g. training of eye-level, direction of sight, frontal perspective, multiple-point-perspective, overlaps, gradients and the grey scale. Students will work on individual projects during this period.
In week 48 and 49, Kjell Johansson will give an introduction course in lithography on stone. The student will be given the opportunity of drawing on stone and test the possibilities of lithography.
Kjell Johansson is an experienced lithograper, and among other things he runs Nors stentrykkeri and was one of the driving forces in establishing KunstVerket Galleri in Oslo.
Week 47: Wencke Qvale will lecture on Maurice Merleau Ponty and the phenomenology .
