Furniture design, idea and model
Part1: Project oriented, creative, individual work. Work on several solutions based on a given problem. First phase of methodical design process. Problem definition, inspection, analysis, brain storming and presentation by means of sketches, schematic drawings and/or building of models. No digital tools. Main stress on process. The students must present at least three different suggestions in the shape of sketches, drawings and scale models in a common review in the class room Friday 14 September 2009. During the review we will decide on what solution will form the basis for further work in the next project period "Furniture design, prototypes" week 40 - 45. Evaluation on KHiB web.
Workform:
Individual work with tutoring. Students prepare analysis, sketches and 3D models in a 1 : 5 scale. Introduction to materials and techniques relevant for the project. All students must document the development of the project by means of text and digital pictures with a view to project presentation, term review and their own portfolio.
Prequalifications:
Approved safety courses and passed1BA Furniture.
The course starts 08/09/2009 / Week 37, and ends 18/09/2009 / Week 38
