Identity design - symbol, logo type and packaging
Object:
The course aims at giving the students knowledge about and skills in formal and communicative qualities and functions in symbol, logo type and packaging. Knowledge and insight in how marks/signs have developed during history, knowledge on terminology and insight in identity terms, and how we take care of an organisation`s/a company`s visual profile. Give insight and skills on communicative qualities in packaging. Understanding of strategic thinking and presentation demands.
Content:
Through practical training use methods for developing a symbol logo and packaging. Basic introduction to the software Illustrator.
Workform:
Individual assignments, frequent group reviews, theory lectures. Training and developing of logo and logo type.
Prioritized methods:
Main stress on sketching process and working method.
