Introduction to Adobe InDesign

Basic layout by means of InDesign.

This course will give you basic knowledge in how to create a document which can be sent to the print shop or a printer.
Edit pictures in Photoshop, document layout in various formats, object based layout, colour profiles and different methods to make templates, compositions and an overall layout for the documents to be printed.
This course is mainly for BA3- and MA2-students who are to deliver exam papers, but it is also suitable as an introduction to layout as such, e.g. documents exported as pdf-files for down loading.

Workform:

Practical workshop with introduction, examples and working under tutoring.

Independent work, but not enough computers for everyone. Bring lap top with InDesign, or share with your neighbour.

Monday 11:00 - 16:00: Introduction to object oriented layout and the software Adobe InDesign, Image editing with Adobe Photoshop
Tuesday 10:00–15:00: Document set-up. Your own work.
Wednesday 10:00–15:00: Templates and composition. Your own work.
Thursday 10:00–15:00: Work with text, design. Your own work.
Fridayg 10:00–15:00: Preflight - preparing documents for print and publishing. Your own work.


Prequalifications:

Basic computer knowledge, Adobe Photoshop, digital image editing.

You should all bring your own digital pictures and texts that can form the basis for your own work.
