Photography - a comment
The explosive technical development creates new arenas for visual communication, digital as well as based on print. More than 90 % of all printed pictures are photos. More media does not automatically result in high quality, a fact that is a great challenge for people working with picture and communication.
With what and how do we fill empty spaces if we think we know more than decorating, entertaining and unconsciously serving commercial market forces? If we want to create meaningful illustrations, it is important to train our understanding of how it can be done.
The aim of this course is to inspire the students to focus on current questions and problems in society through photography in a way that creates curiousness and debate, and increases understanding and knowledge.
