Printed matter - production
This course will introduce you to various problems around getting documents ready for printing.
Visit print shop, information about production of printed paper. Procedures in Photoshop and Indesign. Basic course in RAW-format. Introduction to dye room, screen profiles and colour depth. Colour control of documents:
• What is colour control, and why
• Measuring instruments and profile tools
• Calibrating screen
• ISO standard for printing
• Colour control in Adobe Creative Suite 3
Workform:
We will visit different professional businesses in the field. Lectures on specific topics. No assignments this week.
Prequalifications:
Basic knowledge of Photoshop. Introduction to Indesign if needed.
