THE SCENIC SPACE
Important elements in scenic, visual expression is time, movement, sound and light.
We will focus on dramaturgy and manuscript analysis in order to understand how the visual expression is helping to create scenic atmosphere and strengthen the dramaturgical turning point.
We will examine different space related instruments and materials according to light, sound and projections.
Workform:
Working method: 4 weeks of workshops, lecturing and individual tutoring.
Project work: Idea development of scenography presented in model and sketch-up.
In the course of autumn you will be offered to attend theater performances at Den Nasjonale Scene, Teatergarasjen and Carte Blanche.
Lectures on dramaturgy, theater history and analysis will be given by assistant professor Knut Ove Arntzen from UiT.
