User analysis - quantitative analysis/discourse analysis

Object: The intention of the course is to give the students insight in how to perform a quantitative analysis. Emphasis will be put on how to develop a questionnaire and how to analyse the result. Simple types of quantitative analysis and methods will be taught. Software will also be used.
Academic content: The course goes through the following main topics:

Part 1: Quantitative analysis (20%)
1. Repetition of basic market analysis
2. Making a questionnaire
3. Selection procedure
4. Data analysis
5. Reporting
Part 2: Discourse analysis (80%)
1. What is discourse?
2. Analyze the picture`s discourse elements.
3.What kind of discourse/discourses are "going on" in the picture?
4. Connect discourse to social and cultural context.
5. Reveal the power structures which control discourse.

14 hours seminar:

Tuesday 25.05: kl 09.00–13.00 (Quantitative analysis)
Wednesday 26.05: kl 09.00–15.00 (Discourse analysis)
Thursday 27.05: kl 09.00–15.00 (Discourse analysis)
