Visual identity - logotype

Goal:

Develop semantic and semiotic, as well as ideographic phonetic qualities in a logotype

Logo and logotype design is a very important area within graphic design and visual communication, and one of the most difficult to perfect. A well designed logotype is a simple visual expression of the name of an organisation`s identity. The visual language reflects the organisation`s profile and philosophy. Logotype may be developed from existing types or a new type can be created for the specific organisation. It may also contain elements of graphic art.

The assignments will consist of two very distinctly defined organisations. Development of a logotype is a process to be visualised during the course period, as well as a name developing process.
