Webdesign for Artists
Practical workshop offering MA students an opportunity to design and launch a personal artist website over the course of one week. Topics will include saving files for the web in PhotoShop, working with layout, efficient planning, creating image galleries and scripting basic html and CSS in Dreamweaver.
We will also discuss the effects and functionality of different strategies used by artist websites currently on the net. Students are encouraged to bring the url’s of inspiring sites to share with the class.
Students are also asked to bring their own laptop if possible, and a selection of digital images that they would like to include on their site.
