Basic business purchasing behaviour
Goal: The course`s intention is to give the students knowledge of how organisations make their decisions on purchasing. This might be business enterprises, voluntary organisations or the public sector. Emphasis will be put on understanding the process of purchasing and the factors influencing this. It is important to understand the differences between a consumer and an organisation`s decision for purchase. Furthermore we will deal with design as a factor of influence and competitive advantage for organisations.
Academic content: The course will deal with the following main subjects:
1. Organisations and purchasing processes
2. Various theories on organisations` behaviour before decision
Workform:
The course will consist of 10 hours seminar teaching and 5 hours work with project assignment.
