Conversations in Art

The main focus of the course is in the production of one´s own individual artistic work, not only starting a new project but also looking back, surveying one´s own production and points of interests. In a working process one often finds him or herself encountering, facing questions, perhaps problematics, that lead into intuitive decision making. What triggers you? What or who is your inspiration? Which other artists or artworks have changed your way of thinking or making?

The aim is to open a discussion, a conversation with works produced by other artists and to study and use that knowledge as a guiding light towards something you want to accomplish in your own work. Art is communication. Placing yourself and your work in a discourse, using that as one kind of a method in the working process, results in new way of thinking, making and understanding.

Workform:

The course will be divided between lectures and discussions, one´s own photography related work and presentations.

Times and dates are to be confirmed during the first days of the workshop.
