Design process/Digital weave
Design process. Interdisciplinary workshop II
In this phase we will be working on the results from part one.
Principles, materials, methods and tools are further explored in the school's workshops. Goal relating to area of function is formulated individually or in groups, and will be a guideline for the research and review criteria. Furniture design students are expected to make a full-scale mock-up/prototype. Textiles students could define their problem statements and type of presentation based on their own goal/area of function.
Digital weave. Interdisciplinary workshop III
Alternative content based on introduction to digital tools as a prepartion for manual (TC-1) and industrial weaving (Innvik Sellgren AS). Participants can come from both subject areas but adequate knowledge of Photoshop is required. Intensive Photoshop course for digital tools on textiles is included in the programme. Content is later pointed towards construction, surface, qualities and motives in woven qualities. Furniture design makes it possible to develop your own ideas for woven textiles as an integrated part of the process in the interdisciplinary workshop II. It might be possible to stay at Innvik Sellgren AS week 42 to weave your own textiles.
