Interior housing project
The goal is to give the students an understanding of the relation between form, space and function. The interpretation of a given spatial programme into a physical place to find the situation`s limitations and opportunities. During the project period, teaching in drawing is integrated, and this will form the basis of the following course in presentation techniques. Literature: Tore Brandtenberg: Sosial boligbygging i Europa 1935 - 1980. Tore Brandtenberg: Sosial boligbygging i Norge 1740 - 1900. Tore Brandtenberg: Byboligen. Anne Lise Christensen: Den Norske byggeskikken. Eir Grytli/Eli Støa: Fra årestue til smarthus. Odin Sæter: Rommets sosiologi. Emphasis on both oral and written presentations.
Workform:
Group work during first part of the course, while developing an individual project. Projects are to be presented in form of drawings and models. Review in class Friday 17 December. Evaluation on KHiB's website.
Prequalifications:
Completed and passed 2nd term BA Furniture and Spatial Design.
