Interior – public space
During a 6–7 week project period, the students will be working on a specific assignment: Interior architecture in public space. General introduction to the whole process of planning related to renovation and furnishing: From idea/draft to final result with working drawings, colour and material suggestions, lighting and interior components.
The following topics will be discussed:
General design, environment, architecture, space, visual ergonomics, furniture, textiles, materials and lighting. Planning interior and architecture.
Based on given premises, the students will prepare a concept and make use of necessary means such as lighting, colour, textiles, materials, surfaces. Presented through collages and ideas.
The concept should be developed, and the final result will include:
Visualization of sensiousness, atmosphere, lighting in space and its elements and components.
Drawings and scale.
Material and colour suggestions. Additionally, the students will design a component of their choice and make a schematic drawing of it.
Perspectives.
There will be reviews in class of the project phases.
In-class reviews in the project room, Marken 37 at the end of the project period.
Workform:
Individual project work with tutorials.

Passed 3rd term BA in Furniture and Spatial Design
