Introduction to Sound Art: Theory, Practice, Issues - Lecture series
Sound art has emerged as a dynamic contemporary practice, integrating elements of electronic music, installation and performance practices, and new media. This series of three lectures will give an introduction to sound art, examining its history, related theories, as well as addressing its particular formal and material expression. What is at stake in the practice of sound art, and how might we examine today’s cultural environment through questions of sound and listening?
