Philosophy of science
Object: The course will give students an introduction to basic questions in philosophy of science. How is the world constructed? How is it possible to acquire knowledge about the universe? Emphasis on showing various philosophical positions and the meaning of basic consideration and reflection. The students' reflection on their own experience and project will be very important. Further, we will be discussing basic problems regarding ethics and aesthetics.
Academic content: The course will deal with the following main subjects:
1. Paradigms in philosophy of science
2. Ontology
3. Epistemology
4. Reflection on own experience and project
5. Ethics
6. Aesthetics
