Space and effects
Introductory course, focusing on space and spatial effects.
We are aiming at giving the students an understanding of spatial phenomena and the visual consequences of using certain spatial effects. Through experiments the students will gain experience and be able to decide which effects to use when. Analyse and describe the influence different effects have on a room`s expression.
Recommended periodicals found in the library: Arkitektnytt, Arkitektur N, Design matters, Domus and Abitare.
Workform:
Individual work and in groups. Development of ideas and sketches which are tested in small scale models. Inspection of specific spaces forms basis for registering and analysing. Documentation of the whole period in a written report. Each assignment is presented in an in-class review and forms, together with the report, the basis for approving the period.
