Student exchange exhibition – Bristol–Bergen
As a part of subject area Printmaking, it is possible to participate in an exchange exhibition at UWA (University of West of England) in Bristol. UWA has its own 200 m2 high quality gallery. The exhibition will take place during the last part of February 2011 (18th–26th). Third year Printmaking BA students are especially welcome to participate.
Preparations for the exhibition will be made during four meetings during the fall term and in January 2011. The visiting curator and Rita Marhaug will be leading the group discussions and give tutorials during the development of the exhibition concept. Apart from this, the students will be working on their individual projects leading to their contributions to the exhibition, preferably within the scope of the course. The final suggestions for the exhibition will be sent to John France, our partner in Bristol, in the beginning of November for an evaluation and the final decision.
Necessary information and financial information will be provided in the beginning of the term. This includes contribtion for travel/staying for students and possibly freight/insurance of the works to Bristol. There will also be two short seminars on the visits Bristol in Bergen and Bergen in Bristol.
Our intention is that the students in Bristol, also in their third year, will have an exhibition in room 8 at KHiB at the end of January 2011.
