THE SCENIC SPACE
The first two weeks, there will be a workshop on light and space.
Important elements in scenic, visual expression are time, motion, sound and light.
We will be focusing on dramaturgy and manuscript analysis in order to understand how the visual expression is helping to create scenic atmosphere and strengthen the dramaturgical turning point.
We will be examining different spatial related instruments and materials according to light, sound and projections.
Workform:
Working method during this six-week period: workshops, lectures and individual tutorials.
During the first two weeks, there will be a workshop focuing on light and space. Possible to participate just these two weeks.
Project work: Idea development of scenography presented in model and sketch-up.
Possible to work together with Carte Blanche on their project TRY IN HOUSE.
Lectures on dramaturgy, theatre history and analysis will be given by assistant professor Knut Ove Arntzen from UiT.
In the course of autumn you will be offered to attend theatre performances at Den Nasjonale Scene, Teatergarasjen and Carte Blanche.
