Textile lab
Process-oriented course.
Work on own projects in workshop developed to explore opportunities for artistic language in textile materials. Focus on achieving experience, in other words absorption in methods of your own choice related to textile. Develop material and reference files for future projects. The course is based on ”Digital tools WEAVE and PRINT” in the fall semester.
The period starts with a workshop on developing ideas, based on ”Creative Problem Solving”, to make the students conscious of methodical idea development.
Lecturing on different artists` process. Weaving theory and introduction to print technical topics.
Workform:
Alternate between theory/introduction/tutoring and individual work in workshop.
Requested result:
Documented process and material presented in course end review.
Prequalifications:
Participated ”Digital weave" week 39–41 and "TEXTILE PRINTING – digital tools" week 45-46, or corresponding course.
The course starts 10/01/2011 / Week 02, and ends 18/02/2011 / Week 07
