Thomas Pihl: Critical analysis as an artistic working tool
Focusing on the students' own experience as artists, this course will be seeking and isolating opportunities and limitations within each students' material. The goal is to discuss the students' projects as widely as possible, and register "findings" to be used to develop the students' awareness of their expression as artists.
We will also be discussing references and intentions – choice of visual effects – formal and technical problem statements – context and concept as critical tools for the artistic process.
